Sabotage.

Become an upsetter. Make yourself a disturbance. Become the problem. Disrupt what is clean and easy. International solidarity with all fighting struggling and working people.
Radical love compels me to fight.

Show Me The Body, 2025

Blending elements of noise, hip-hop and sludge metal into an incredibly unique post-hardcore sound, Show Me The Body are a band that truly capture the spirit of New York’s underground scene. Formed in 2009, the duo (Julian Cashwan Pratt and Harlan Steed) have released several EPs and three full-length albums, including their genre-defying debut ‘Body War’ which is soon to celebrate it’s 10th anniversary since it’s release in 2016. The band have always stayed true to what hardcore and punk music should be about - making the necessary criticisms on injustice, police brutality, capitalism and gentrification, however they also have taken steps to carry this message beyond their words through their label and mutual-aid organisation CORPUS. Through this, they have built a community, creating non-traditional, intentional DIY spaces for NYC youth, and reached a global audience through their dynamic shows and varied collaborations with an incredible roster of artists.

Show Me The Body recently put on a free show in London’s Southwark Park, bringing hardcore to the streets in a way that was incredibly accessible for a time when so many shows are incredibly expensive, for over 18s only or at venues with strict capacity limits. So many of the city’s residents are currently so disillusioned by the essentially right wing government, increasing rise in fascism and general attack on our rights and freedom (for example the right to protest), that this show was not only a beautiful gift to a community that needed it, but also a call to action, and the perfect place to film some footage for their latest single, Sabotage.’

A highlight of their live shows, Sabotage’ is a cover of the classic Beastie Boys track, and has now been released as a single with a music video created in collaboration with independent conflict news organisation Popular Front, who presented the Southwark Park show. The video interweaves footage from this gig with archival footage from the organisation. On the collaboration with Popular Front, Julian Cashwan Pratt says:

“I support and consume independent journalism in general, but full disclosure, I am a straight up a fan of Popular Front. Their crew does hard work to tell true stories, or as they put it “honest reporting.” To work together on “Sabotage” is a self-fulfilling prophecy. New York band with a New York song reaching out to the world at war with a message of love and solidarity.”

‘Sabotage’ is out now. Pre-order the 10th anniversary edition vinyl of ‘Body War’ here.
